Physical Therapy Physical Therapists address activities of everyday life and help promote safety and independence. Physical therapy focuses on: *Improved Mobility * Increased Balance and Walking Skills * Increased Flexibility and Strength * Increasing Safety with Functional Activities * Family Teaching and Training * Fall Prevention and Improved Safety Skills * Wound Care Speech Therapy Speech language pathologists treat all types of speech, language, swallowing, and related disorders. Speech language pathology services include evaluation and treatment of: * Difficulties with speech * Difficulties with expressing both verbal and written thoughts. * Difficulty understanding both verbal and written language. * Difficulties with chewing and swallowing. * Difficulties with cognition organization and memory. * Difficulties with voice. * Hearing loss. Occupational Therapy  Occupational Therapists address activities of daily life and working with individuals to maintain maximum independence and safety. Occupational therapy focuses on: * Increased strength needs and endurance to perform daily living activities: dressing,   grooming, bathing, toileting, meal preparation, self feeding. * Instruction and practice in activities of daily living (ADL's) * Orthotics/splinting to increase function and independence, and avoid or reduce   contractures. *Instruction in the use of adaptive equipment for ADL's.
